As you can see in the map above, the most affected countries are tropical countries belonging to Latin America and near to Brazil. This happens because the mosquitos can surpass the boundaries, and spread the disease through the closest countries. Brazilians travelers can also spread the mosquito, since Aedes can travel with them, this is evidenced by the map below:
I do not think that any country that has a cold weather, like Canada, will be infected, considering that mosquitos are usually in countries with tropical weather.
COLOMBIA AND ZIKA
Two days ago, there was confirmed two cases of microcephaly in Colombia. Unfortunately, the health minister of the country, Fernando Ruíz Gomez, expects 95 to 300 children will going to be born with microcephaly* and 380 people will contract Guillain-Barré syndrome*.
PERSONAL OPINION
We have to stop the mosquitos preventing them with the help of the government of the country and the population has also to do their part. Do not leave stagnant water inside tires and fonts!!!
